We've gone ahead and released v4.4.0 for free for everyone to use.
This version includes our new Drops APIs for other plugins to use, as well as numerous improvements and performance enhancements to the DropTables system. We've also thrown in some new mechanics and goodies for you to use! All the changes are listed in the changelog, and should be put on the manual shortly.
We anticipate v4.4.1 will become free in the next week or two once v4.5.0 is released as the next stable premium version.
This version does not include native 1.13 or 1.13.1 support. If you're looking for that, check out MythicMobs Premium to get access to the latest versions now!
We've gone ahead and released v4.4.0 as a "stable" build for all premium users. This version includes our new Drops APIs for other plugins to use, as well as numerous improvements and performance enhancements to the DropTables system. We've also thrown in some new mechanics and goodies for you to use! All the changes are listed in the changelog, and should be put on the manual shortly.
This version also contains tons of bug fixes. As usual, please report any new (or old) bugs you encounter on our bug reports forum so we can get them fixed. We will be releasing a v4.4.1 within the next week with any additional bug fixes for issues that crop up, and will continue working on bug fixes until Minecraft 1.13 is released, at which point we will start work on v4.5.0.
We've decided to set up an official MythicMobs Discord server to have a centralized chat where MythicMobs scripters and server owners can chat, talk about mob creation, and even speak with the developer team. We hope this will help people be able to get their questions answered easier and help build a stronger mob-making community!
Please note though, the Discord is not for bug reports or feedback. You should still use the forums for that, or for any long-term discussions, to make sure it gets seen!
MythicMobs 4.1 includes various new features, mainly focused around compatibility with other plugins. HealthBars allow you to display mob health in a visceral way, and NamePlates allow you to bypass the 16-character limit on regular nameplates for player disguises! (both of these require the Holograms plugin).
There are also many new mechanics and conditions, including support for TerrainControl biomes and Vault currency!
It has been a while since I announced Champions, and I've gotten an overwhelmingly positive response about it over the last year. Since then I've worked with several people in the community on this massive project and have watched several huge servers using the alpha versions of it. The end is finally getting much closer.
In the last few months, though, I decided to make a few major changes. Champions has been split into several smaller plugins, and most of these are now add-ons of MythicMobs. This way, I can be sure that all of my time is spent improving the best parts of all of these plugins since they will benefit from each other.
The first of these plugins is just about ready.
I present to you: Mythic Artifacts! (or just Artifacts)
By far the most hype I've heard is about the custom items, and I am happy to announce that this new...
MythicMobs 4.0.0 has been released! That's right, 4.0, which is twice as good as 2.0!
MythicMobs 4.0 includes the long-awaited conditions update. The conditions system (along with most systems in the plugin) have been completely rewritten to be much faster and much more usable. Conditions now have several flavors and allow you to adjust how and what skills target with great accuracy.
Along with this rewrite, 4.0 also includes a massive API update, which allows people to add their own custom mechanics and custom conditions!
This includes support for Spigot 1.10, tons of bug fixes, and some new features!
One big change to note is that MythicMobs now requires MythicLib. This was announced before, and was necessary due to MythicMobs sharing a lot of code with Champions.
The biggest new feature is support for MiniaturePets. This was a highly requested collaboration between the devs of both plugins. MiniaturePets support means that you can now use the custom models that are designable using MPets in MythicMobs! This feature will bring a new level of customization to your mobs, for the first time allowing for full-fledged custom models for your bosses.
There are various other features, new skills, new effects, and more, that you can find in the changelog. This release also includes some heavy optimizations to spawners and targeters!
The conditions update has been pushed back and will start being...
Going forward as of today, all dev builds and future releases of MythicMobs will require MythicLib also be installed to function.
MythicLib was previously compiled into MythicMobs for your convenience, however as I get closer to releasing Champions that is no longer an option. This library contains all the shared code for my plugins.
Hello everyone! I have several things to bring up today to the MythicMobs community in regards to the future. Please leave comments and feedback in this thread!
Recruiting Moderators / Testers / Forum Staff
I am currently looking for long-time community members that are interested in helping with forum moderation and bug testing. The vast majority of bugs reported on the forums are due to bad configs, or are things that are not even caused by MythicMobs, and this has caused a massive slowdown in public releases and in real bugs being fixed.
These days I do not have as much time to sift through the forums looking for real bugs, as I must try to test and replicate every bug on different versions of MC. When a bug report isn't accurate, this turns into a massive waste of time. Bug Testers will have the ability to mark threads in the Bug Report forum to help me out with sifting through them, and will have a special tag so people know they are...
As of today we have enabled posting resources for several people in the community. We have some pretty high criteria right now including some that is automated, so don't be discouraged if you haven't gotten access yet! We will be relaxing the requirements relatively quickly depending on the kind of feedback we get.
Right now requirements include:
At least 100 posts on the forums
Account in good standing
At least 10 likes on posts
If you are trying to post a resource and encounter any problems, or have any questions, please let us know! And remember, all resources on the Marketplace are moderated and will not show up immediately.
Hello everyone! We have just released MythicMobs v2.4.4. This release adds support for 1.9.4, and also fixes TONS of bugs! Please try it out and let us know how it's working for you! As usual this build has been tested extensively, but if we missed something, please submit a bug report!
Dev builds are now handled through the forums instead of Patreon. This will allow people go gain access immediately by automating the entire process. All you have to do is go to the Dev Builds tab, click on the link to subscribe, and follow the process with your forum account.
People already subbed through Patreon can continue their subscription on there, but no new ones will be accepted. If you are already subbed on Patreon recently but need access please email [email protected].
We will soon be opening up the MythicMobs Exchange for beta testing. The Exchange is a new feature of the website that has long been requested, which will allow people to sell their creations in a safe and centralized location. The Exchange will only support paid mobs/skills/etc with a minimum of $1, and all Exchange submissions will be moderated for the protection of buyers and to ensure only quality items are put up. We will also have a system to verify mobs sold are fully functional on the version they are sold for.
Free configurations can still be shared in the appropriate forum.
All sales on the Exchange will have an 18% commission which will be deducted and sent to the MythicMobs team. This fee will help cover our hosting costs and the time spent moderating everything. The rest will be sent directly to your PayPal account as soon as somebody buys it.
The Exchange will initially only be open to a few select members of the community (including the dev team) while we...
