Queen's Tutorial Mob Pack
A set of 10 mobs and 1 boss to use as examples for what MythicMobs is capable of. The download is easy to install, using the pack system introduced in MM4.9.0, all you have to do is drag and drop the folder inside of "Packs" into your corresponding MythicMobs/Packs. The YML files are marked up full of comments and explanations as to how things work and why they're being used.

Every mob fills a specific niche in the typical RPG experience, from melee to magic. The mobs are highly configurable and editing of their settings is highly encouraged.


Included:

Zombie Knight - A generic melee mob based on the archetypal tank. Teaches the use of orbitals as a slash with variables, stances through the shield stance, basic self-preservation skills through complex movement patterns, and game design for fair but fun combat.

Skeleton Archer - A generic ranged mob that uses a jumping arrow volley to give an example of an intermediate level projectile. Also replaces the vanilla skeleton arrow using the shoot mechanic through CancelEvent.

Skeleton Rogue - A mob that uses high mobility with simulated strafing and random dodging, and anti-ranged play with throwing dagger projectiles using bulletTypes.

Witch Summoner - A generic summoner type mob that can call forth undying minions. Uses teleportation similar to an enderman as well as a homing missile with life steal, as well as giving an example of what the signal mechanic can do. Teaches the teleport and missile mechanics.

Undying Skeleton - A simple melee mob that continually respawns itself so long as the Witch Summoner continues to give signals. Teaches the onSignal trigger as well as self-removal and itemspray particle effects.

Timber Wolf - An example of a simple upgrade over vanilla through sound design and more complex movement patterns.

Mimic - A simple example of a "mimic" type mob that starts disguised as a barrel, but transforms into a hostile enemy in jumpscare fashion. Teaches basic disguises, manipulation of AI, equipment, and using audio and visual effects to get the player to react a certain way.

Ice Spirit - An invisible particle mob that shoots a set of ice bullets that inflict a custom status effect configurable in the yml file. Teaches the basic game design of telegraphing attacks to keep combat more fair, as well as using auras to make a custom status effect.

Fire Demon - A mob that shoots blaze fireballs as well as a special flamethrower attack. Gives an example of disguises paired with custom sound effects, as well as a telegraphed "heavy" attack through an alternative use of projectiles.

Wind Mage - A mob disguised as a custom player skin (set through LibsDisguises) that shoots a random number of magic wind balls, and uses a "pushback" type self-preservation skill. Also uses an orbital skill with modifyprojectile to make a "growing" wind attack. Teaches custom skin usage on mobs and randomization to make a more organic combat experience.


BOSS

Queen - A culmination of skills learned throughout the yml files, using melee and ranged attack patterns, complex pvp-like movement, potions to heal and harm, teleportation through an enderpearl projectile, a shield stance, smokebomb, and in addition the use of multiple phases and dialogue to give a boss fight experience. Reinforces what you've learned so far as well as teaching a version of "phases", random dialogue, and a cutscene where the mob is invulnerable.
